Welcome to YouthICT Initiative NGO

Information technology is one of the major forces influencing opportunities for youths and women. Young people have better educational, economic and social opportunities if they have free access to computer and information technology.

The YouthICT Initiative NGO which was established in 2010, is an independent, non for profit youth and technology initiative that strives to bridge the divide through information technology programs that creates access to education, health matters, employment, and civic engagement.

YouthICT's belief in the crucial role of ICT in youth and women empowerment, education and awareness is echoed by its mission statement, which emphasizes the ‘harnessing internet technologies to cultivate education and employment, access government services, exchange information and ideas, youth leadership and engagement in social issues. Bridging the continuity gap that causes fragmentation between and within generations of youth and women movements and championing the role of young people as key stakeholders in all aspects of society.’

We are implementing part of the project called 'Development of interactive multimedia tools on HIV and AIDS by using a computer Game developed by UNESCO to teach HIV and AIDS Prevention to Youths.
